GOOD TIDINGS AND MERRY CHRISTMAS

Good tidings is the wording that is used in Luke 2: 10 of the King James Version of the Bible. It reads, And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Our newer translations use the words “good news.” Whichever translation one uses it means that an individual has new information to share with others that  they will really like. That usage is so unlike what the media’s passes off as news in today’s world. It is a commonly perceived today that journalists go with the adage, if it bleeds it leads. It also seems the current English use comes from the idea of the word news being derived from the initials of the four major points of the compass; North, East, West, and South.

Regardless of the rightful origins of the word ‘news’ there is something that needs to be pointed out. ‘Calling out’ may be a more accurate portrait of a pronouncement against the main stream media. They are not interested in being objective or reporting the truth. This is why it has sometimes been referred to as the lame stream media.

Most of the people I know would agree with this assessment. It’s believed to be accurate especially when one considers the idea of withholding facts for the sake of a good story. Let’s consider for just a moment; there are two kinds of lies and they correspond directly to two kinds of sin. These are known as the sins of commission and the sins of omission. Now the definition of the word sin is “to miss the mark” as in an archer being off target when trying to hit a bull’s-eye. Likewise lying is missing the mark and it’s also possible through commission or omission.

Whether in print form, over the air waves, or online the major news organizations reporting is always agenda driven. There is a well-known adage that states, “Truth is the first Causality of war.” Make no mistake they are at war for the minds and control of free people everywhere. They do the permanent bureaucracies bidding, who are themselves the worst, leeching, most unaccountable control freaks in the USA. Neither they nor the lame stream media answer to anyone and their ranks need to be decimated, rejected, and some agencies totally eliminated. The original FBI Director, J. Edgar Hoover, was heard to say, “he didn’t care who was president under him,” meaning it didn’t matter which party the president ‘under’ him comes from.

There is an obscenely large amount of information that the media is omitting from their news reporting and it can only point to some nefarious agenda. But today is not the day for exposing their iniquities; that can be done later. Today there is something far more important to mention.

Today mankind needs to remember and rejoice. Christmas is upon us. A timely cliché, as always, is for remembering “the reason for the season,” which is the birth of Jesus Christ, Emmanuel (God is with us). As noted before, the scriptures lead us into this great event in (ESV) Luke 2: 10 states, And the angel said unto them, Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy, which shall be to all people.” However that is not the fullest form of “The Good News.” For that we must share the good news that Christ died to take away the sin of the world. This Good News contains neither error by commission or by omission. The fullest truth is just as it is recorded in (NASB) John 3: 16-18, 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The God and Creator of the whole universe came down from heaven, taking the form of a newborn infant so that he might create a way through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross for our sins so that we might share an eternity with Him. That is truly Love Divine and it is indeed ‘good news of great joy.’

So today, here is a good news message for one and all, “MERRY CHRISTMAS.”
